The Rise and the Fall

Greetings to all. As you reflect this weekend, I encourage you to consider the endurance of our nation and your role in serving as its moral conscience.

Celebrate the rise but avoid the fall. No empire expects to fall, and every nation hopes to last. Yet history teaches that empires and nations rise and fall. From a faith perspective, they fall under God's sovereignty when people stop being the moral conscience of their culture and abandon their values.

Proverbs 14:34 (NCV)

34 Doing what is right makes a nation great, but sin will bring disgrace to any people.

Lesson: While we should celebrate the endurance and resilience of our country, our greatest priority is to seek God’s presence and follow His ways. God sets the standards, and as His people, we are called to live them, changing our hearts when necessary and staying true to those values.
