Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, let us thank God for bringing us safely this far. May we feel the calm and peace that Jesus brings into our storms of life.
We can find ourselves sailing on the tumultuous sea of life in this broken world, dealing with fearful and unexpected struggles. There's a saying, "we're all in the same boat." The phrase implies that we all are going through the same things and are equally affected by whatever situation or circumstance we find ourselves in.
Luke 8:22–23 (NCV)
22 One day, Jesus and his followers got into a boat, and he said to them, "Let's go across the lake." And so they started across.
23 While they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep. A mighty wind blew up on the lake, causing the boat to fill with water, and they were in danger.
Along with Jesus, we must surround ourselves with those who have the best interests for us in our boat of life.
Lesson: Whatever boat we are in, we better know who is in the boat. Hopefully, we will have each other's backs and be willing to help when we find ourselves in the storms of life.
