Greetings to all, thank God for loving us and seeing us to another blessed weekend. May He renew and strengthen each of us with purpose and a desire to walk even closer with Him. Amen

I don't usually use this platform to promote my interest, only that which pertains to what we have in common through God's word.

But, today, please bear with me as I praise God for giving me another year of life on this day! The Lord has allowed me to reach a milestone birthday. Today I turn 60!!!

I'm grateful to be among a generation of women who have had the privilege of seeing the example of simple hard-working women, who, although they struggled, continued to trust God to make a way out of no way.

I remember being a young girl, never giving much thought to what I was witnessing until, at last, I found myself somewhere between being a young woman and then a middle-aged woman.

The more I age and look back in time, most of those women have done their work and have gone on to be with the Lord. They showed me that I don't have to measure myself against anyone because each of us has been created and given a work to do.

Ephesians 2:10 (GW)

10 God has made us what we are. He has created us in Christ Jesus to live lives filled with good works that he has prepared for us to do.

1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG)

9 But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—

10 from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

Lesson: While none of us can be physically born again, each of us can have a spiritual rebirth called being born again.

Many of us grown-ups are carrying the heavy weight/pain of childhood against parents/grown-ups and love ones that we can't move on to be the masterpiece that we are and fulfill the jobs we are created for.

In almost all cases, those people just didn't have what we needed, wanted, or expected them to give. The more we let go, the higher we will go, and then our lights can sparkle and shine brighter for the Lord.
