Washed Clean for Worship

Greetings to all. This Sunday, as we gather, let us come together in the way of God, not according to our own customs, and prepare our hearts for worship.
I am grateful for the example of my ancestors, who valued both a relationship with God and presenting themselves well for worship. Still, preparing our hearts and being made right through Christ is what matters most.
Revelation 7:13–14 (GW)
One of the leaders asked me, “Who are these people wearing white robes, and where did they come from?” I answered, “Sir, you know.” Then he said, “These are those coming out of terrible suffering. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Lesson: Although it is admirable to present ourselves well, what truly matters to God is the cleansing and renewal of our hearts through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. Being prepared for worship is not about outward appearance or tradition, but about the sincerity of our hearts before God.
