Discerning the Source of Favors

Greetings to all. In life, we need to be careful not to accept what looks like an instant blessing too quickly.

Satan often promises quick rewards that seem too good to be true, so it’s important to ask God for wisdom and discernment. His offers are usually shortcuts or involve compromises that go against what God wants for us.

Matthew 4:8–9 (MSG)

8For the third test, the Devil took him to the peak of a huge mountain. He gestured expansively, pointing out all the earth’s kingdoms, how glorious they all were.

9Then he said, “They’re yours—lock, stock, and barrel. Just go down on your knees and worship me, and they’re yours.”

Lesson: Satan seldom tempts us with something that looks like an obvious trap. Not every blessing comes from heaven; sometimes, it’s actually a trap from the devil.
