Walking Away

Greetings to all. As we go through life, let us pay attention to the places, conversations, and situations that might not reflect God’s character.

Doing what’s right may not always be honored or valued, but God notices what others miss. Like Jesus overturning tables in the temple, we should examine our lives and leave behind anything that dishonors God or devalues others. Let us be where Jesus wants us to be.

Matthew 21:12 (NCV)

12 Jesus went into the Temple and threw out all the people who were buying and selling there. He turned over the tables of those who were exchanging different kinds of money, and he upset the benches of those who were selling doves.

Lesson: Jesus’s actions in the temple remind us that we don’t have to stay in every situation. It’s okay to say no without feeling guilty. Let’s ask God for wisdom to see what we should leave behind and for strength to walk away.
