Trust the Authority of Jesus

Greetings to all. On this Sunday, recognize that Jesus holds absolute authority, not Satan.

The power of Jesus is always on display in our lives. However, many tend to ignore Him or simply do not know Him. The story of the demons wanting to go into the pigs is a good example of how Satan knows the full power of Jesus, and rather than obeying, the spirits did not want to be sent into the abyss, but rather into the pigs. Not to help the pigs or to live out their lives in them, but to destroy themselves and the pigs.

Matthew 8:31 (MSG)

31 The evil spirits begged Jesus, “If you kick us out of these men, let us live in the pigs.”

Lesson: It's not enough to know the power of Jesus; we must live our lives trusting in His absolute power.  Choosing to rely on Him, obey Him, and let His authority shape our actions and attitudes.
