The Weight of Exhaustion

Greetings to all. As we approach the end of this week, many of us may be feeling tired.

We must carefully consider whether we will give in to tiredness and burnout. Not only can our physical labor make us tired, turmoil that disrupts our familiar way of life can also leave us exhausted. Fatigue is not solely physical; mental and emotional exhaustion are significant as well. The most challenging form of tiredness often varies from person to person.

Matthew 11:28–30 (KJV 1900)

28Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Lesson: Although God’s words provide comfort and peace during times of exhaustion, we may still experience weariness but never give up.
