Greetings to all, let us thank God for seeing another blessed Sunday morning. It is my prayer that as we pause to worship Him on this day, we will thank Him for being our Great Creator and Generous God who guides us each day in making wise decisions. Amen
Despite all that is happening today, we still must choose to live by choice and not by chance.
We have an enemy who is scheming and desires to keep us from having a relationship with God. We must continually ask God for enough wisdom and strength to allow us not to give in to the enemy's deception.
The word tells us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly (James 1:5)
Wisdom gives us discernment and is the mark of spiritual maturity that provides us with the ability to know the difference between God's words and from the things of Satan.
1 Peter 5:8 (NLT2)
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
But wait, Jesus is also referred to as a lion, "The Lion of the tribe of Judah." And to follow Jesus, we must obey His commands and share His truths. We must be able to know the genuine Lion from the counterfeit Lion.
The difference between the two lions is Satan; the roaring Lion of destruction is roaming around "like a Lion," causing pain, delusions, and confusion.
The Lion of Judah's tribe has won the victory and is on the throne with all power and authority.
Revelation 5:5 (NCV)
5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not cry! The Lion from the tribe of Judah, David's descendant, has won the victory so that he is able to open the scroll and its seven seals. "
Lesson: We should not side with the Lion Satan because we will lose our souls.
The Lion, Jesus, has proven himself worthy of our praise and is not to be feared.
For all of us who believe, He conquered sin, death, hell, and Satan himself.
