Greetings to all. As we begin this week, let us honor the sacrifices made for the freedoms we have.
No individual or nation is immune to downfall, no matter how powerful. The saying "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" applies to everyone. Some are remembered for their sacrifices for others, while others are remembered for their harmful actions that lack value.
Jeremiah 50:30–32 (KJV 1900)
30 Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD.
31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, Saith the Lord GOD of hosts: For thy day comes, the time that I will visit thee.
32 And the proudest shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all around him.
Lesson: Ignoring warnings and letting ambition inflate egos can lead to downfall. God is sovereign; He is the security and comforter. Because of God, there is hope for the future.
