Greetings to all. This Friday, let us end the week by embracing the uplifting freedom that love offers. Reflect on ways we can show love to others.
Everything has a price, but there is no literal price tag for the sacrifices we make for the people and things we love. The depth of our love is defined by what we are willing to give or do for each other. Christ exemplified that the true price of love is love.
Matthew 22:37–39 (GW)
37 Jesus answered him, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
38 This is the greatest and most important commandment.
39 The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'
Lesson: We are required to love one another, but not necessarily to sacrifice our lives for others' salvation. Still, those who serve their country are called to embrace the challenging commitment to protect and uphold the dignity of others in the face of adversity.
