The Need to Hear

Greetings to all. This Sunday, let us pray and share messages that inspire others to walk in truth.

Ministry is demanding. A preacher must deliver the Word to guide and enlighten others. Even if it seems no one is listening, God promises that the message will not return void. The messenger has fulfilled their purpose if none or just one person hears and accepts it.

Romans 10:16–18 (GW)

16 But not everyone has believed the Good News.  Isaiah asks, "Lord, who has believed our message?"

17 So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke. 

18 But I ask, "Didn't they hear that message?" Certainly, they did! "The messengers' voice has gone out into the whole world and their words to the ends of the earth." 

Lesson: Despite the differing views on preaching, we all need God's Word. While technology changes how we receive the message, the Word remains constant. Faith comes by hearing the Word; let us pray for those who continue to share it.
