Greetings to all, it is "hump' day Wednesday, and we have made it halfway through the week. Let us continue to place all our anxieties, cares, and troubles in the hands of the Lord because He cares for us. Amen
One thing real about life is, we will encounter stormy weather. Not all storms are physical in nature, but the turbulence can be just as bad. We know that the world is in the midst of a pandemic storm.
Our storms may be in the form of a broken relationship, bad diagnosis, prodigal children, financial crisis, and many more. It may feel like the Lord is asleep and not aware that we are weathering these storms.
When it seems like our anxieties, cares, and troubles multiply, and our joy, peace, and faith are fading, we need to ask Jesus to help us. We need to ask Him in faith for the strength promised in the word.
Isaiah 40:28-29 (GW)
28 Don't you know? Haven't you heard? The eternal God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't grow tired or become weary. His understanding is beyond reach.
29 He gives strength to those who grow tired and increases the strength of those who are weak.
1 Peter 5:7 (GW)
7 Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you.
While we understand that there will be storms, we must know that no storm, circumstances, and even this pandemic can stop God's love and care for us. I'm reminded of the disciples in the boat with Jesus, and they were afraid during the storm.
Mark 4:38 (TLB)
38 Jesus was asleep at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. Frantically they wakened him, shouting, "Teacher, don't you even care that we are all about to drown?"
Lesson: Yes, Jesus loves and cares for us! We do not have to go through our storms alone.
Sometimes our faith may turn to fear, and we sometimes may feel like we don't have anyone else.
Let us strive to live our lives and be a witness so that others can know and trust that the Lord is with each of us and, more importantly, that He is in control.
