The Heart of Goodness

Greetings to all. This Wednesday, as we reflect, let us remember that kindness starts in our hearts.

Our ability to be good begins in our hearts. Although striving to do good may sometimes feel difficult, we should remember that kindness is present in many people. True goodness comes from within each person. As we go through life, our words and actions reveal the condition of our hearts and create the basis for kindness in our daily lives.

Luke 6:45 (KJV 1900)

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Lesson: Instead of us searching for good people, let us focus on being good and kind ourselves. Each of us can make a difference; being good starts within us.
