The Healing Word

Greetings to all. On this Sunday, as we worship, may we escape the pain and sorrow that plagues us and the world.

In our troubled world, many people, rich or poor, experience different forms of suffering. Not all wounds are visible, so some pain may be unnoticed. Thankfully, the word of God offers healing that begins within and touches every part of us.

Luke 4:18 (KJV 1900)

18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.

Lesson: Despite all the sickness and wickedness in the world, we have reasons to hope and to be thankful. We have a compassionate physician in Jesus, who was sent to heal the broken hearts from within and specializes in healing and restoring souls.
