Greetings to all. Let us remember that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.

As we reflect on this grateful Thursday, let us remember that the Bible instructs us to pray for many things—God’s provisions, protection, and forgiveness. Often, our prayers focus on healing, financial gain, and peace of mind, offered with the hope that God will hear and answer.

2 Corinthians 1:3–4 (GW)

3Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who is compassionate and the God who gives comfort.

4He comforts us whenever we suffer. That is why, whenever others suffer, we are able to comfort them by using the same comfort we have received from God.

Lesson: The main lesson is that God comforts us in our times of need so we can, in turn, comfort others using the same comfort. Our prayers show trust in God's care, and His comfort not only meets our needs but also enables us to support and care for others.

How has God comforted you in hard times? How did that shape your prayers and support for others?
