The Call to Be Faithful Servers

Greetings to all. As we start this week, let's remember our call to stay faithful.

A good way to approach the week is to serve while we wait on God. Whether you are waiting for a breakthrough, a new job, guidance, or healing, think about how professional servers work with joy and cheerfulness. Let's serve others in the same way to show our devotion to God. When we serve instead of being idle, our waiting has purpose.

Romans 12:11–13 (GW)

11Don’t be lazy in showing your devotion. Use your energy to serve the Lord.

12Be happy in your confidence, be patient in trouble, and pray continually.

13Share what you have with God’s people who are in need. Be hospitable. 

Lesson:  Waiting on God is active, not passive. During tough times when you are waiting, remember to serve God and others with a positive Christian attitude.
