Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, may we be filled with the strength of the Lord that gives to each of us the hope and courage to make it. Let us thank Him in advance for the strength that we will receive from the experiences of the journey from this week. Amen
Often, I'm guilty of asking God to strengthen me before I even begin a journey or a season of life. More and more, I'm realizing and learning that my greatest strength comes not from a prepared strength that I've to ask for upfront but from the strength I've gained from the experience of going through the journey or the season of life.
Psalm 18:1 (NLT2)
1 I love you, LORD; you are my strength.
As God's children, we must learn that when we give God our weakness, He'll provide us with His Strength and that our experiences in life are the gifts that keep on giving.
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 (NCV)
8 I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me.
9 But he said to me, "My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you. "So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can live in me.
10 For this reason I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.
Lesson: Sometimes, it may seem like God has abandoned us, when in fact, He is still with us in our times of weakness. Just like He promised to display His power in the life of Paul, He promises to do the same in our lives.
God never intended for us to be ineffective or weak; however, He's always displaying His power in our weaknesses; this way, we recognize our limitations and that we must depend on Him rather than our limited abilities and efforts.
