Greetings to all, on this blessed Sunday, let us continue to stay focused and not be distracted by the many things that try to keep us from worshiping God and stop us from reaching the destination that He has prepared for us. Amen

On this journey called life, we will encounter many traffic lights and road signs; just like traffic lights and road signs are essential and vital in our daily lives, we need God's spiritual guidance through the Holy Spirit to help lead and guide us.

Knowing when it is the right time to stop, wait, or go is not always easy. We must never assume that a knee-jerk reaction or a speedy response is expected of us on every turn. God will always provide a timely answer, and it will be different in each of our situations.

The bible has many examples of where a quick response was required, and there are many examples of when waiting on God's leading was necessary, beneficial, and the right thing to do.

Exodus 13:21-22 (NCV)

21 The LORD showed them the way; during the day he went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud, and during the night he was in a pillar of fire to give them light. In this way they could travel during the day or night.

22 The pillar of cloud was always with them during the day, and the pillar of fire was always with them at night.

Despite being guided by God, it took the Israelites 40 years instead of a few days to travel to the promised land. If we don't stop during what is wrong while we wait on Jesus to return, our lives will feel like we are wandering in the wilderness like the Israelites.

God is the ultimate GPS, and He will not allow us to take a shortcut into our promised land. We, too, must be purged of sin that causes us to rebel and fear God before we can move on, no matter how long it may take.

While God desires to guide and protect us, He is more interested in developing a loving relationship with us.

Psalm 46:10 (MSG)

10 "Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything."

Lesson: To stop, wait, or go? Only when we seek the answer from God will the answer be provided to us. As God's people, we have the green light to keep going for Jesus.

We must stay focused on God's promises and continue to travel to the place He is calling us to be.
