Rest for the Scarred

Greetings to all. This weekend, let us pause and remember that the scars we carry find rest in our tender hearts, offering comfort and hope.

For the scars in life, a change is coming. God promises to give us a soft heart instead of a hard one. This new heart will be loving, gentle, strong, and bold. Even when we carry heavy burdens, spiritual strength helps our soft hearts bear the scars.

Ezekiel 36:26 (MSG)

26 I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed.

Lesson: A soft heart does not mean weakness. It means having a heart for God. At some point, we may all need our stony hearts replaced with soft ones.
