Relationship Status

Greetings to all. This weekend, find contentment in your relationship status. Reflecting on this can be a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth.

The Bible is upfront about marriage and singleness. It highlights that both have advantages and disadvantages. Some still choose to remain single, while just as many seek marriage. Some believe that marriage will heal their emotions or solve their problems. At the same time, others think that they cannot survive being single.

1 Corinthians 7:8–9 (GW)

8 I say to those who are not married, especially to widows: It is good for you to stay single like me.

9 However, you should get married if you cannot control your desires. It is better for you to marry than to burn ⸤with sexual desire⸥. 

Lesson: The principles and goals for any relationship, whether in a season of being single or married, are that we live a life of purity and self-control. To those not where they want to be, may you find your way to where you should be.
