Greetings to all, today is Saturday, and we will close out the theme of peace during this Advent season. I pray that we can experience peace and take some time to rest our minds and our souls from the responsibilities, griefs, and thoughts of this past week. Amen

We are often told and advised that if we want to have peace in our lives, we need to limit or even let go of some people. That can very well be true, but if we don't keep our minds from being flooded with negative thoughts and unnecessary information, there goes our peace.

I know that we try to be loving people, and while it may be important for us to be informed of what's going on in the world or with our loved ones, nothing is more important than our inner peace. Our peace is priceless!

Today, let's be protective of our peace and be mindful not to lose sight of ourselves and our values by others' negative energy. Don't allow anything or anyone, including family members, friends, those in traffic, other shoppers, and co-workers.

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT2)

23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Psalm 37:37-38 (NLT2)

37 Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace.

38 But the rebellious will be destroyed; they have no future.

Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT2)

24 'May the LORD bless you and protect you.

25 May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you.

26 May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.'

Lesson: We can't control others, but once we see that those we surround ourselves with are bent toward being negative, we are responsible for conducting ourselves and making a conscious and informed decision to protect our peace.
