Power of Purposeful Prayer

Greetings to all. As we enjoy this thankful Thursday, let's keep talking with God through prayer.

Prayer should be a meaningful conversation with God, not only a list of things we want.

The Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield (P.R.A.Y.) acronym gives us a helpful structure for connecting with the promises in God’s word.

Isaiah 55:10–11 (GW)

10 “Rain and snow come down from the sky. They do not go back again until they water the earth. They make it sprout and grow, producing seed for farmers and food for people to eat.

11 My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do.”

Lesson: The main point is that prayer matters. A focused, honest 3-minute P.R.A.Y. habit can help as much as a longer, distracted prayer.
