The Power of Words

Greetings to all. As we go through life, let's try to use our words wisely.

Throughout life, we get many chances to use our words to heal or harm. As babies, we babble, and usually only our mothers understand us. But once we learn to speak, it can be hard to hold back.

Proverbs 12:18–19 (KJV 1900)

18There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: But the tongue of the wise is health.

19The lip of truth shall be established for ever: But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Lesson: No one needs to teach us how to tell untruths. We all go through a stage where lying comes easily. If you ask a child if they did something, they often say no, even if they did. It takes time and practice to learn how to use our words as weapons of spiritual truth, to heal, not to hurt.
