Pleasing God Above All

Greetings to all. As we continue through life, let us focus on pleasing God, who never fails us.

Because we have been approved by God to be His servants, we should strive to please Him above all. Maintaining good conduct and a clear conscience is essential for this. Still, in our effort to please God, there may be times when doing so means we do not please others.

Ephesians 6:5–7 (MSG)

5Servants, respectfully obey your earthly masters but always with an eye to obeying the real master, Christ.

6Don’t just do what you have to do to get by, but work heartily, as Christ’s servants doing what God wants you to do.

7And work with a smile on your face, always keeping in mind that no matter who happens to be giving the orders, you’re really serving God.

Lesson:  Living Faithfully in a Challenging World in our service to God may require us to stand firm. Even when it is difficult, we are empowered to please God above others and remain faithful in our conduct.
