Greetings to all; we may have planned to rest and get recharged this Saturday, but interruptions may occur.
Getting away from everything and everybody is like hanging a do not disturb sign and doesn't guarantee the rest and results we desire. The thing that makes our lives great so that we can get rest and be at ease is recognizing and expecting some interruptions.
The bible has many stories of Jesus being interrupted, and He didn't allow them to stop Him from doing good works. To change the lives of others, Jesus Himself was also known to be an interrupter.
Luke 9:59–61 (ESV)
59 To another, He said, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father."
60 And Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God."
61 Yet another said, "I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home."
Lesson: Interruptions did not stop Jesus from His good works. Following Jesus, we must pardon the interruptions and accept them as opportunities to do God's work.
