Our Hands Have A Story

Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, let us thank God for preserving us and strengthening us on our journey.

In life, we all have a story. Some things in our lives are good, some bad. One thing is for sure no story is perfect, and there is always room for improvement.

Me: To my sister, what are you doing?

My Sister: Sitting here looking over my hands.

Me: What does that mean?

My Sister: The old folks used to say that when they thought and looked back over their lives.

Me: I like that, and I'm going to use that!

Because what we do in life can potentially change the appearance of our hands, every hand has a story. Many of us don't look like what we've been through. We also don't look like what we're going through now. It's a blessing we can persevere and keep moving forward.

Job 17:9 (NLT)

9 The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.

Lesson: Our ability to persevere comes from the Lord. No matter where our hands have been or what they've done, there is no going back. God gives us the ability and strength to hold on with no condemnation as we live righteous lives.
