Our Gifts Makes Room For Us

Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, let us be grateful we serve a God who is the giver of all good gifts. May it be each of our desire to glorify Him with the abilities that He gives us.

Although the gifts God gives us have the power to open doors and make room for us, we must make room for God and His gifts in our lives. God's purpose for giving us gifts is not so that we can advance in popularity or appear mighty before others. The gifts that God gives to us are gifts for the work of building up His Kingdom.

Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV)

16 A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.

The application for us today is that through Jesus, God has given a gift to the world that opens doors of opportunities for all who surrender everything to Him.

1 Peter 4:10 (TLB)

10 God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings.

Lesson: Whether rich or poor, God desires that we live up to our potential and use everything He gives to us. The gifts God gives to us are seldom for our gain and should be used to serve others.
