No Middle Ground

Greetings to all; may we rest this weekend without the looming feeling of fear as we trust God to work all things for good because He is in total control.

In life, we often find ourselves unable to rest because we constantly move between fear and faith. We tend to focus on our fears instead of our faith. Fear and faith have no middle ground when we trust God completely.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NCV)

7 God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power, love, and self-control.

1 John 4:18 (GW)

18 No fear exists where his love is. Instead, perfect love gets rid of fear because fear involves punishment. The person who lives in fear doesn’t have perfect love.

Lesson: Although the things we worry about may not be clear, we can have a fear-free life when we have the perfect love of Jesus, which casts out all fear.
