Meeting The Lord In The Air

Greetings to all, let us thank God for opening the way of eternal life for us through His Son Jesus. Let hope rise in each of our hearts, and may God bless our worship today. Amen

Believers know that we will spend eternity somewhere forever and understand that God has us in this world, but we are not of this world.

For now, we must wait, but in the fullness of time, Jesus promises to return to take us out of this world.

1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 (TLB)

17 Then we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever.

18 So comfort and encourage each other with this news.

Having spent time here on earth, Jesus knows how valuable and important our lives are here. Amid evil, there is much work for us to do, and we must assist others in being ready for His coming.

Since no one knows when He is coming back, we must be ready to meet Him in the air despite evil. That's why He prayed to the Father for us.

John 17:15-16 (NLT2)

15 I'm not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.

16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do.

Lesson: As we wait, beware, Jesus says that not all who says Lord, Lord will make it into the Kingdom.

To assure our place, Jesus says we must love each other and do the work he started.
