Greetings to all, on this Monday, let us continue to seek to draw closer to God so that we can grow spiritually stronger. This week, let us ask God for the strength not to let others bring out the worst in us, only our best. Amen

After a day of celebrating our loved ones and the people we love making them feel special; If you ask anybody, they would say that it is easy to love those who love us. The question is, how can we love those who simply and outright seek to hurt us?

Suppose we want this week to lead us on a path of love, possibilities, prosperity, and peace. In that case, we must not entertain the thought of hate and retaliation because they will ultimately lead us to destruction.

Matthew 5:43-45 (GW)

43 "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.'

44 But I tell you this: Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.

45 In this way you show that you are children of your Father in heaven. He makes his sun rise on people whether they are good or evil. He lets rain fall on them whether they are just or unjust.

Nehemiah 4:4 (GW)

4 {Nehemiah prayed,} "Our God, hear us. We are despised. Turn their insults back on them, and let them be robbed in the land where they are prisoners.

Lesson: If we do not want to be the container or the vessel that corrodes by carrying hate and retaliation, we must put everything in God's hand.

Granted, it will not be an easy task but, if we are going to love the world as Jesus did, we must start by loving, doing good, blessing, and praying for our enemies.
