Lasting Word and Hope

Greetings to all. As we worship today, let us recognize that everything in life has an end except God's word.

We must spend quality time reading and meditating on God’s Word. Too often, we live our lives as if we will last forever. We must discern the times by recognizing that everything but God's word will end. Even the things we acquire in this world will be gone. But God’s unchanging words remain.

Matthew 24:35 (KJV 1900)

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Lesson: When we invest in God’s Word, we invest in the only thing that carries an eternal guarantee. Do not be driven by accumulating things; the world always needs hope, not more stuff. When we anchor our faith in the Word, we build on a solid foundation, not temporary things. The Words of Jesus give us reliable promises: His word is the eternal truth we need and can count on.
