Knowing Christ Personally

Greetings to all. This Sunday, may we have the yearning to know Jesus Christ better.

People have many ambitions in life. As Christians, our greatest ambition, taught by the Gospel, is to know Jesus Christ, who spoke of love, peace, unity, and humility, the Savior who died for our sins and rose on the third day. Our faith centers on a deep yearning to grow and to know Him better.

2 Timothy 1:11–12 (NCV)

11 I was chosen to tell that Good News and to be an apostle and a teacher.

12 I am suffering now because I tell the Good News, but I am not ashamed, because I know Jesus, the One in whom I have believed. And I am sure he is able to protect what he has entrusted me with until that day.

Lesson: The true mark of our faith is not simply knowing many hymns but truly knowing Jesus Christ. Hymns are valuable and comforting, but our Christian ambition should always be to know Him personally.
