Kindness Taken As Weakness

Greetings to all; let us end this week feeling strong and courageous, knowing that we have stood firm in our faith.

It certainly doesn't matter who we are or what area of life it is; life can be competitive. One of our challenges in life can be balancing kindness and assertiveness. So that no one thinks of us as weak, we tend to default to the rule of standing our ground and not letting anyone walk all over us.

1 Corinthians 16:13–14 (GNB)

13 Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, and be strong.

14 Do all your work in love.

Contrary to belief, being kind is not a sign of weakness; kindness takes strength. We shouldn't have to tolerate anyone ordering us around, taking advantage of us, and looking down on us while walking all over us in any area of our lives.

Lesson: As Christians, there will be times when we will have to be assertive, but we must always stand fast in the faith and be kind, not rude or disrespectful to others.
