It is Not All About Us

Greetings to all. On this “grateful” Thursday, let us be reminded that our prayers should not always be about us.
Granted, we all have our share of trials and tribulations that require divine intervention through prayer. Too often, we focus solely on our own needs, forgetting that prayer is also a powerful way to uplift others. Reflecting on the true purpose of prayer and praying for someone else can make our situations seem less challenging and feel lighter.
1 Timothy 2:1–2 (GW)
1 First of all, I encourage you to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and prayers of thanks for all people,
2 for rulers, and for everyone who has authority over us. Pray for these people so that we can live a quiet and peaceful life, always in a godly and reverent manner.
Lesson: We cultivate compassion and empathy within ourselves when we widen our perspective and include the needs of family, friends, and even strangers in our prayers.
