Greetings to all, as we awake on this Tuesday morning, may each of us find ourselves in the hands of the Lord. As we face today's challenges, let us not rely on our strength but receive His. Amen
There is so much going on in the world today that is out of our control. Despite what is going on, we can survive this week and throughout life when we make the most uncompromised choice to follow Jesus.
Matthew 4:19 (AMP)
19 And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples—letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!
Jesus is still saying today, "Follow me!" Never mind what we believe or what we are doing; each of us has an open invitation to follow Jesus.
Accepting His invitation means that we will do our best to walk the walk and follow in faith and obedience daily.
Mark 8:34-37 (MSG)
34 Calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how.
35 Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to saving yourself, your true self.
36 What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?
37 What could you ever trade your soul for?
Lesson: Only when we follow Jesus, no matter the cost, will we know what it means to live fully now and to have eternal life as well.
Jesus made it clear that to be a faithful follower of His would not be easy.
So, let us get out of the driver's seat and let Jesus drive today!
