Heads Or Tails

Greetings to all, as we begin this new week, let us commit to being obedient to the word of God and submit to His will.

God made promises to the Israelites if they were obedient. Those same promises still stand for all today who are willing to be obedient to God. While God's promises bring great rewards, they are attached to our obedience.

Deuteronomy 28:13 (NRSV)

13 The LORD will make you the head, and not the tail; you shall be only at the top, and not at the bottom—if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today, by diligently observing them,

Proverbs 3:1-2 (NRSV)

1 My child, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments;

2 for the length of days and years of life and abundant welfare they will give you.

Lesson: With God's help, let us live from above this week. We may break our promises to God and each other, but we can rely on God to keep His promises.
