Having Expected Faith

Greetings to all. On this grateful Thursday, let our gratitude show in how we prepare for the blessings we need or expect.

Too often, we face a huge need; the first step is to take it to God in prayer. We fail to make the necessary efforts on our part. There is a big difference between waiting for something and preparing for it.

1 Kings 18:41-42 (GW)

41Then Elijah told Ahab, “Get up, eat, and drink. It sounds like a heavy rain ⸤is coming⸥.”

42Ahab got up to eat and drink.  Elijah went to the top of Carmel and bowed down on the ground to pray.

Lesson: True expectant faith does not just sit around and wait. Preparing for what we pray for is the physical demonstration of our spiritual expectation. Pray with total dependence on God and wait with total expectation.
