"Greater Than"

Greetings to all, this Tuesday, as we strive to be servants of Christ, let us find and see the joy of esteeming and showing humility for each other.

One of the quickest ways we can fail in life is to think more highly of ourselves and have a habit of comparing ourselves with others.

Having a "greater than" attitude and comparing ourselves to others is dangerous. Along with being an agent for stealing our joy, comparison can be a trap that leads to envy, keeping us down and holding us back from receiving and achieving what God has for us.

Romans 12:6a (GW)

6 God, in His kindness, gave each of us different gifts.

Philippians 2:3 (NCV)

3 When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourself.

Lesson: Everybody is somebody, and there is so much we can gain and understand from each other when we stop comparing ourselves to others and seek to learn from others.
