Greetings to all, on this "grateful" Thursday, let us thank God for empowering us with the strength and wisdom to fight against and capture every stronghold that comes from every negative thought that tries to take root in our minds. Lord God, continue to allow us to speak your holy word over our lives. Amen
Why would we be talking about power and weapons on a day we pause to say that we are grateful?
Romans 1:16 (MSG)
16 It's news I'm most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God's powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else!
The world has always been opposed to God's word. Satan, our biggest enemy, wants us to be ashamed of and ignorant of God's word. He wants us to deny God's words and use our words to cause division and strife, hurt others, complain, and lie.
When difficulties arise in our lives, we're able to use and proclaim God's word over our situations. Likewise, when we know God's word and receive blessings and breakthroughs, we can praise Him and proclaim His goodness.
Today, we can be "grateful" as children of God because He has given us His Word, which is our most powerful weapon in defeating our spiritual and physical enemies.
Isaiah 59:21 (GW)
21 "This is my promise to them," says the LORD. "My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I put in your mouth will not leave you. They will be with your children and your grandchildren permanently," says the LORD.
Joshua 1:8 (GW)
8 Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed.
Lesson: We can fight the enemy and even our negative thoughts with God's word. If we're going to succeed and live a victorious life, we must arm ourselves with the words of God.
The power of life and death is in the tongue!!!
Let's show God that we are GRATEFUL for His word by meditating and learning them. None of us knows all of them; start with one scripture, and eventually, one will turn into an arsenal.
