God Changes the Ending

Greetings to all. This weekend, let us not be dismayed by what has happened or is currently happening. Though circumstances may trouble us, we can trust in the Lord’s faithfulness.

While we ourselves cannot go back and change our past, we serve a gracious and loving God who redeems what we cannot. Though God is unchanging in His nature and character, He responds to the repentance of His people. As seen in the book of Jeremiah, when God’s servants turn to Him with sincere hearts, He relents from judgment and works all things for their good.

Jeremiah 26:13 (GW)

13 Now, change your ways and what you are doing, and listen to the LORD your God. Then the LORD will change his plan about the disaster that he intends to bring on you. 

Lesson: When called to speak, we must stand firm in obedience despite opposition. Though we cannot change hearts or circumstances, God in His sovereignty can transform both when His people repent and obey.
