Gain By Giving

Greetings to all; on this "grateful" Thursday, as we thank God for our prosperous times, let us also thank Him for our times of need.

During our times of need is when we learn about our greatest wealth. While we are known to be concerned with what we have, God is known to be more concerned with what we do with what we have. We would much rather have others see us having full hands, but in the sight of God, He honors our empty hands by turning our giving into receiving.

Proverbs 11:25 (GNB)

25 Be generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be helped.

Lesson: Although biblical giving produces great rewards and gains, it may not be our routine way of living. It can be challenging to give and do for others, but through our relationship with God, we can learn His plan for giving and give not from a place of having a lot but from our knowledge of having nothing.
