Drawing Near To God

Greetings to all, on this "hump" day Wednesday, as we follow God's road map through our journey of life. May He continue to bless us with traveling mercy and keep us safe.

On our spiritual journey of life, as we go after our purpose in life, we can find ourselves running into some of life's disappointments and detours set by the evil one, only to find ourselves moving away from the route laid out by God.

James 4:7-10 (TLB)

7 So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8 And when you draw close to God, God will draw near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and let your hearts be filled with God alone to make them pure and faithful to him.

9 Let there be tears for the wrong things you have done. Let there be sorrow and sincere grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter and gloom instead of joy.

10 Then, when you realize your worthlessness before the Lord, he will lift you up, encourage and help you.

Lesson: We may swerve and change from the directions God has for us at times, but no matter where we find ourselves, we are never too far from Him. He's always with us and desires to redirect and help us to draw near to Him.
