Daily Surrender

Greetings to all. This weekend, let us reflect on our daily surrender to being disciples of Christ.

No matter the context, the word surrender can sound like we must give up everything. To live our lives according to the ways of Jesus, our surrendering to follow Him means letting go of what does not align with His will and ways.

Luke 9:23 (NKJV)

23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Lesson: As disciples, we can only imitate the ways of Jesus. We are not asked to die on a cross, but to imitate His love and follow Him daily. Surrendering is the foundation for following Christ, and it is a high but worthy cost. The greatest price has already been paid by Jesus. But we do need a daily commitment to surrendering to live as His disciples.
