Called to Freedom

Greetings to all. As we start this week, let us use the freedom God has given us to love and serve others.

Real freedom comes from the truth. When we know and serve God, we honor that Jesus and His ways are the Truth. If truth is hidden, denied, or ignored, we remain in bondage.

Galatians 5:13–15 (MSG)

13 God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grows.

14 For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom.

15 If you bite and ravage each other, watch out—you will be annihilating each other, and where will your freedom be then?

Lesson: We are all called to freedom, but we lose sight of truth when we put ourselves and our desires first.
