Called Out Of Darkness

Greetings to all, let this be a testimony Tuesday, a day we thank God and tell others how He has called us out of the darkness.

There will be times in our lives when the darkness will attempt to bring the temptations of doubt, discouragement, and sadness into our lives. It will try to pull us down into a pit of despair so that we can't reflect the light of Christ. But, as we follow Christ, we will live our lives in the light, walking happily and peacefully, doing our best not to allow the darkness to overshadow us.

1 Peter 2:9–10 (GW)

9 However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

10 Once, you were not God's people, but now you are. Once, you were not shown mercy, but now you have been shown mercy.

Lesson: Once we figure out we are God's special and privileged people, it will be harder for darkness to overtake us when we decide to allow God to deliver us by calling us out of the darkness.
