Called By Name

Greetings to all; this Sunday, let us thank God for forgiving us for what we have done and been in our past. May He continue to bless who we are today.

Our identity comes from God, who calls us by name. People often do not believe who we tell them we are. And past shame and mistakes can breed confusion in our minds about who we are and who we belong, making it hard to be bold and live confidently in a world with much sin and temptations.

Isaiah 43:1 (RSV)

1 But now thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

Lesson: To move on and have our lives make sense, we do not have to accept who Satan says we are. Despite our sins, we belong to God. We only need to answer to the name God calls us.
