Blessed Not Lucky

Season of Lent: Day 24

Greetings to all. We often say we're lucky when good things happen. In fact, we are not; we are blessed. Today, let’s reflect on the goodness we have received from God.

We may not recognize right away, but our blessings come through answered prayers, unexpected kindness, and opportunities that happen at just the right time. While it may sometimes seem that things come from our own efforts or from the people around us, the truth is that every meaningful and good gift comes from the will of our sovereign God.

John 3:27 (NKJV)

27 John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

Lesson:  Every step forward we take in life is possible because of God's guidance and provision. We must recognize our dependence on God. It is through humility and a sense of grace, not boasting, that we learn to acknowledge every gift, ministry, and good thing as coming from heaven.
