Beware of Pretenders

Greetings to all. As we progress through life, we learn to recognize and navigate the presence of pretenders.

There are always those who appear genuine but are far from it. It is crucial to be someone who can rightfully examine spiritual fruit. Whether in our personal lives or within our spiritual community, the ability to discern those who are false will help us avoid pretenders. The power of actions outweighs the power of words.

Matthew 7:15–16 (NCV)

15 "Be careful of false prophets. They come to you looking gentle like sheep but dangerous like wolves.

16 You will know these people by what they do. Grapes don't come from thorn bushes, and figs don't come from thorny weeds.

Lesson: It may not always be clear who the pretenders are. We should not be pretenders. We must do our best to be cautious and remember that actions can and do speak louder than words.
