Bearers of Light

Greetings to all. As we enter this new week, let us strive to support and uplift one another rather than diminish the light of others.

The metaphor of a burning candle illustrates that each of us possesses a unique light. As carriers of this light, we are called to shine and to help rekindle the flames of others when theirs are extinguished. A single lit candle can ignite another.

Matthew 5:14–16 (KJV 1900)

14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Lesson: As people of faith, we serve as bearers of light, igniting and inspiring others. We also illuminate a world often marked by darkness.
